For the second consecutive year<\/strong>, the project \u201cURBAN UTOPIAS\u201d<\/strong> will appear in Burgas with a new dose of UNexpected artistic interventions<\/strong> in the city environment \u2014 actions that inspire the creative participation of the audience<\/strong> and the creation of poetic urban narratives!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

URBAN UTOPIAS<\/strong> is a long-term project by Sensory Theatre Sofia<\/strong>, dedicated to carrying out artistic interventions and poetic performances in public spaces<\/strong>. The project views and explores the city as a natural stage \u2014 a mise-en-sc\u00e8ne<\/strong> \u2014 where unusual creative happenings unfold, blending art and life until the boundaries between them dissolve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is an art of surprise and the unexpected<\/strong>, using the expressive means of sensory theatre, music, movement performance, and costume design<\/strong>, appearing suddenly in everyday urban environments \u2014 streets, squares, parks, and city gardens<\/strong> \u2014 and engaging the audience in active creative interaction<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Created as a rupture in the banality and repetition of daily life<\/strong>, URBAN UTOPIAS<\/strong> provides that minimal dose of wonder, surprise, and magic<\/strong> needed to help us remember our nature as astonished, astonishing beings<\/strong> \u2014 who create as effortlessly as they breathe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The unusual, surreal characters and images<\/strong> emerging from these immersive performances become epicenters of the familiar urban landscape<\/strong>, drawing all eyes toward them, filling minds with questions, inviting photographs and shares on social media (thus turning random passersby into co-creators), and giving the feeling that the witnesses have been chosen (by the law of non-coincidence)<\/strong> to observe a secret ritual \u2014 scenes that bridge different dimensions and realities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, URBAN UTOPIAS in Burgas<\/strong> will present two events BEYOND WORDS<\/strong>, expanding the narrative of the Silencenauts<\/strong> and their future culture<\/strong> \u2014 one that is more creative, empathetic, and delicately attuned<\/strong> to both natural and urban environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the invitation of the VODA Contemporary Arts Festival<\/strong>, the Burgas audience will have the chance to participate in two interactive performances<\/strong>, taking place in spaces as unusual and alive<\/strong> as the performances themselves!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
